Do you have an entrepreneurial mind and the drive to own your own global public relations firms? Do you want to take the reins of a £1m PR firm that represents clients like the Dalai Lama and the Prince of Wales? Then listen up – I have found an opportunity for you!

Global Tolerance

Simon Cohen is the Founder and Managing Director of the public relations firm Global Tolerance. He has spent the last ten years building this empire into an innovative global PR company. And now, he has decided to give it all up to one lucky person… This could be YOU!

After his wife became pregnant with their first child, he decided to take a year-long sabbatical to determine the priorities in his life. It was during a trip away to India he realized he would miss his growing family too much.

From this, he has decided to relinquish 95 percent of Global Tolerance to focus on raising his newborn daughter and be a stay at home father.  In addition to the company shares, he will be handing over £10,000 in cash, a decade of business contacts and all of the company assets.

So how does one get rid of said £1m business? With a competition, that’s how! “Most of the exit strategies seem to center around how the leader can extract as much money as possible. Lots of businesses end up in a corporate graveyard because of this,” he said. Simon has launched an Open Leadership Exercise to find a new leader and beneficiary for the communications agency with a conscience. From the starry-eyed graduates to well-seasoned executives, the application process is open to all. Through this, he hopes other leaders will follow his innovative succession plan.

Finding a new person will be a five-step process, including tweeting about what leadership means to you, filling in an application, submitting a business plan and attending an evaluation day. If you have what it takes, check out the full submission process. Deadline is April 15th – good luck!
